This Notice may be cited as the Authorised Persons (Attestation of Instruments) Notice.

2.

The following persons or classes of persons are authorised to attest an instrument under the provisions of the Chattels Transfer Act—
(a)where the instrument is executed within the United Republic or in Kenya or Uganda—A Judge of the High Court.A Magistrate.A Justice of the Peace.An Advocate.The Registrar appointed under the Act.An Assistant Registrar appointed under the Act.The Registrar of the High Court.An Administrative Officer.A Revenue Officer.A Senior Land Assistant.A Land Assistant.The Administrator-General.An Assistant Administrator-General.
(b)where the instrument is executed elsewhere than in the United Republic, Kenya or Uganda—A Judge.A Magistrate.A Justice of the Peace.A Notary Public.A Foreign Service Officer of the Tanzania Foreign Service.
