This Order may be cited as the Visiting Forces (Application of Enactments) Order, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 20th January, 1964 in the case of the Visiting Forces of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland; on the 31st March, 1964 in the case of the visiting forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and on the twenty-sixth day of June, 1964 in the case of visiting forces of Ethiopia.

The United Kingdom and Northern Ireland forces, the forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Ethiopia forces, their members and the property used or to be used for the purposes of such forces and members are hereby exempt from or, as the case may be, entitled to benefit under the provisions of the enactments specified in the Schedule hereto to the extent to which such forces, members or property would be exempt therefrom or entitled to benefit thereunder if such forces were a part of the Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces.
