This Notice may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Exemption from Registration) Notice.

2.

Every ship not exceeding 125 tons registered owned by a person who is a citizen of the United Republic, or by a firm all of whose members are citizens of the United Republic, or by a body corporate incorporated in the United Republic and which is engaged in the carriage of goods or passengers on a sea voyage solely from any place on the coast of the United Republic, is hereby designated to be exempt from registry under the Merchant Shipping Act 1.1Cap. 165
