1.

No person shall drive a public service vehicle in a National Park except under and in accordance with a permit in that behalf:Provided that a bona fide tourist who is driving a public service vehicle which has been hired for the purpose of his journey shall be exempt from the provisions of this section.

Without assigning any reason therefore the Director or any officer or other person authorised in that behalf in writing by the Trustees may, if he deems fit, refuse to issue any person with such permit or may cancel, endorse or suspend such permit.

Any person aggrieved by any order under paragraph 2 may ask that the matter be referred to the Board of Trustees, whose decision shall be final.

Any person who fails to inform the Director at the time of his application for a permit under these Regulations of the fact that he has previously been in possession of a permit to drive a public service vehicle in the National Park which permit has been cancelled or suspended, or who makes a false declaration in or in connection with any application for such a permit under these Regulations, shall be guilty of an offence against these Regulations.

Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with the provisions of these Regulations shall be guilty of an offence against these Regulations and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding four thousand shillings or to an imprisonment for a period not exceeding three months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
