The Order may be cited as the Fisheries (Controlled Areas) Order.

The entire coastline of Tanzania from Vanga on the Kenya Border and all the territorial waters of the Indian Ocean; the Tanzania waters of Lake Victoria; Lake Tanganyika and Lake Nyasa; Lake Rukwa; Lake Kitangiri; Lake Singida; Lake Kindai; Lake Babati; Lake Manyara and Nyumba ya Mungu Dam are hereby declared to be controlled areas for the purposes of the Fisheries Act1.1Cap. 279
