Petroleum (Imposition of Petroleum Fees) Regulations, 2021

[Made ubder section 167(2)]

1. Citation and commencement

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Petroleum (Imposition of Petroleum Fees) Regulations, 2021.
(2)These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 2021.

2. Imposition and collection of petroleum fee

There shall be imposed a petroleum fee at the rate specified in the Schedule to these Regulations which shall be collected by the Tanzania Revenue Authority.

3. Usage of petroleum fee

The petroleum fee collected under these Regulations shall be remitted to the Rural Energy Agency and shall be used for Rural Electrification Projects.

4. Revocation of GN No. 231 of 2013

The Petroleum (Imposition of Petroleum Fee) Regulations, 2013 are hereby revoked.
