National Prosecutions Service (Appointment of Public Prosecutors) Notice, 2023

1. Citation

This Notice may be cited as the National Prosecutions Service (Appointment of Public Prosecutors) Notice, 2023.

2. Appointment of public prosecutors

(1)The persons whose names are specified in the Schedule are appointed to be public prosecutors for purposes of prosecuting criminal cases on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

3. Validity

(1)This Notice shall be valid for five years from the date of coming into operation.
(2)Notwithstanding subparagraph (1), a public prosecutor appointed under this Notice may serve for a period of less than five years where such person’s employment in the Public service is determined or when such appointment by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
