In "Haika do Chesam Mgao vs Republic (Criminal Appeal No 37 of 2021)", Haika Mgao was convicted of unlawful possession and dealing in government trophies. The Court of Appeal, however, allowed the appeal due to issues with the credibility of the main prosecution witness and the omission of a key witness by the prosecution. The Court quashed the High Court's judgment and the sentences, ordering the appellant's immediate release.
