1.

Every District Commissioner is hereby appointed as a District Registrar of Marriages for the district for which he is the District Commissioner.

2.

Every public officer who is the District Administrative Officer for a District or a sub-district is hereby appointed to be the District Registrar of Marriages and Registration Officer for the District or sub-district for which he is the District Administrative Officer.

3.

Every Divisional Secretary is hereby appointed as the Registration officer for the area for which he is the Divisional Secretary.
