1. Citation

These Regulations may be cited as the Transport Licensing (Fees) Regulations.

2. Fees

The fees set out in the Schedule to these Regulations shall be payable in respect of the matters specified thereunder.

3. Remittance of fees

The Minister may in his discretion in any case remit the whole or part of any fees under these Regulations.

4. Revocation

[Revokes the Transport Licensing (Fees) Schedule of 1996.]

NB: This Fees Schedule is based on carrying capacity (payload) and not on Gross Weight as in the previous Schedule. Also, all vehicles are grouped together irrespective of their status, whether single unit or trailers.

1. For a short term licence for every vehicle the use of which is authorised thereunder shall be—
(a) where the licence is for a period not exceeding 7 days(b) where the licence is for a period which exceeds 7 days(c) where the licence is for a period which exceeds one month but does not exceed three months5,000 (2,000)7,500 (3,500)The appropriate three months rate
