Establishment of Offices of Ministers Instrument, 2025

(Made under Article 55(1))WHEREAS, Article 55 of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania, 1977, hereinafter referred to as “the Constitution”, empowers the President to appoint Ministers to hold such offices of Ministers in the Government of the United Republic as he may determine;AND WHEREAS, consequent upon the need to strengthen the discharge of certain ministerial functions, I am minded to disestablish the Offices of Ministers so previously promulgated and to establish in lieu of them, the Offices of Ministers specified in the Schedule to this Instrument;NOW THEREFORE, in the exercise of the powers conferred on the President by Article 55 of the Constitution and all powers enabling the President in that behalf, I, SAMIA SULUHU HASSAN, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, do hereby disestablish all Offices of Ministers specified in all Instruments previously promulgated and subsisting immediately before the coming into operation of this Instrument and establish in lieu thereof, the Offices of Ministers specified in the Schedule to this Instrument.

1.The Office of the Minister of State in the President’s Office (Public Service Management and Good Governance).
2.The Office of the Minister of State in the President’s Office (Planning and Investment).
3.The Office of the Minister of State in the President’s Office (Youth Development).
4.The Office of the Minister of State in the Vice-President’s Office (Union Affairs and Environment).
5.The Office of the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament, Coordination and Persons with Disabilities).
6.The Office of the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (Labour, Employment and Relations).
7.The Office of the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (Regional Administration and Local Government).
8.The Office of the Minister for Agriculture.
9.The Office of the Minister for Communication and Information Technology.
10.The Office of the Minister for Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups.
11.The Office of the Minister for Constitutional and Legal Affairs.
12.The Office of the Minister for Defence and National Service.
13.The Office of the Minister for Education, Science and Technology.
14.The Office of the Minister for Energy.
15.The Office of the Minister for Finance.
16.The Office of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation.
17The Office of the Minister for Health.
18The Office of the Minister for Home Affairs.
19.The Office of the Minister for Industry and Trade.
20.The Office of the Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports.
21.The Office of the Minister for Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development.
22.The Office of the Minister for Livestock and Fisheries.
