Part I – Preliminary provisions (ss. 1-2)
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Tanzania News Agency (Repealing) Act.2. Interpretation
In this Act unless the context otherwise requires—"Agency" means the Tanzania News Agency established under the former Act;"former Act" means the Tanzania News Agency Act;"Information Services Department" means the Information Services Department established under the Prime Minister's Office;"Minister" means the Minister responsible for Information Services and Broadcasting.Part II – Repeal of the former act and transfer of powers and functions (ss. 3-5)

The Information Services Department shall in performing its functions under section 4 have power to do anything or enter into any transaction which in its opinion is calculated to facilitate the proper and efficient performance of functions under this Act or which is incidental or conducive thereto including power to—Part III – Assets, liabilities and employees of the Agency (ss. 6-8)
